Jaime and Ollie got married!!
I was approached by Jaime and Ollie in July 2011 and asked to photograph their wedding at Whitby register office. I knew then that this wasn't going to be an ordinary wedding as no one knew they were planning it...and almost no-one was going to be there! It was top secret!
Their daughter Bethany only found out 3 days before the big day despite having been fitted for dress and shoes many weeks beforehand!
When I spoke to Jaime before the wedding she explained how she and Ollie had been childhood sweethearts but had gone separate ways before they got back together many, many years later.
It transpired that they wanted to have a quiet wedding but also wanted to have a party for family and friends when they got home to Nottingham. They had hatched a plan to send the invites out immediately after the wedding. I would like to have seen their faces when they opened the invitations!
There was however one major problem looming. As no-one would be there, they didn't have a witness for the proceedings and so I happily agreed to do the honours alongside Helen who did Jaime's hair and make-up.
I feel very priveliged to have been there; to have played a part in the wedding of Jaime and Ollie and send my very best wishes to them and their two lovely children.
